Cost Addressing the steep increases in the cost of health insurance, NYBGH members have created an Employer Roundtable devoted specifically to this issue that affects every employer-sponsored plan in the tri-state area and, indeed, in the country. Active discussion among Roundtable members provided the initial impetus for exploring and eventually adopting the eValue8 tool to measure health plan performance. Developed by the National Business Coalition on Health, eValue8 helps members assess the quality of their healthcare plans based on a common set of criteria that measure key areas from provider performance and disease management to member satisfaction.
Further, in the immediate term, members are collaborating among themselves to combine purchasing power and mitigate cost increases.
